Airline in for the summer

Hawkair, which flies from Terrace and Prince Rupert to Vancouver, is adding Sandspit to its destination list.
The airline announced late last month that starting June 7, it would begin flying between Vancouver and Sandspit five days a week.
"We saw an excellent opportunity for Hawkair to partner with adventure operators, local businesses and residents to offer a much needed alternative air service to and from the islands, " said Daryl Tucker, the airlines director of marketing.
Like Air Canada Jazz, Hawkair flies DeHavilland Dash 8 aircraft, through Vancouver Airport's south terminal.
It will serve Sandspit every day except Wednesday and Sunday, leaving Vancouver either at 8 am or 10:30 am and departing Sandspit at 2:30 pm.
The airline is in for the summer only. It plans to drop Sandspit on Sept. 5.
